NTC licensure exams 2021 timetable Changed – Check New Dates

The National Teaching Council (NTC) after postponing the conduct of the second phase of the 2021 GTLE previously scheduled for September 23 to 24, 2021 has updated the Ghana teacher licensure examination timetable.

A statement signed by the Registrar of NTC, Christian Addai Poku and copied to EducationWeb.com.gh said the postponement of the September 2021 teacher licensure examination is due to circumstances beyond their control.

“The National Teaching Council (NTC) respectfully inform you that the Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) which was scheduled from September 23 to 24, 2021 has been postponed to October 23 to 24, 2021,” it said.

According to the new GTLE timetable sighted by EducationWeb, candidates on October 23, 2021, will sit for two papers (Literacy and Essential professional skills) and Numeracy on Friday, October 24 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Essential Professional Skills October 23 2021 1:00 PM – 03:00 PM
Numeracy October 24 2021 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

The Teaching Council on Monday, August 16, 2021, opened the GTLE registration portal for graduates from various teacher training institutions who wish to sit for the licensure examination to submit applications.

“Completed application forms should be received online no later than 8th September 2021. There will be no extension in time for registration beyond the 8th September 2021 deadline,” the Management of NTC stated in the post.

Candidates have been urged to check their confirmation status on the NTC examination registration portal to see if they are eligible to sit for the licensure test before they proceed to purchase the 2021 GTLE voucher.

The Ghana teacher licensure examination voucher can be bought from any branch of GCB or Prudential Bank across the country or better still applicants can simply dial *772*51# to purchase via Mobile Money.
